How do you ensure the security of user data?

Do you offer multi-factor authentication?
Multi-factor authentication is currently being offered for the admin/dev roles on infra level. The out-of-the-box MFA features from clerk for user/app layer are ready to be toggled on/off when needed.
Who owns the data processed by your system?
Users own and control data. We do not train any models on user business data.
What measures do you take to prevent common web attacks?
Our application and infrastructure partners prepare for various attack vectors, including XSS, CSRF, session fixation, and password leaks. We also conduct regular source code reviews.
How do you handle user authentication?
We use a complete, out-of-the-box solution for secure user authentication, including features like password leak protection and customizable password policies.
How do you ensure that users no longer have access to the data after leaving the client organization?
The Clerk authentication system allows us to manage user roles and permissions at a granular level. When a user account is deactivated or deleted, their access tokens are revoked, and they are immediately denied access to both the application and its associated data.
How do you protect data access between different companies to ensure one company's data isn't accessed by another?
We use MongoDB’s flexible schema design to structure each user’s data into separate entries ensuring that data belonging to one user cannot be accessed by another (even if they are from the same organization).
How is data locked down at rest and in transit?
MongoDB uses TLS/SSL to encrypt the connections. MongoDB offers out of the box encryption at rest (AES-256).
How are audit trails maintained to monitor who accessed the data and when?Code
We use comprehensive logging mechanisms through AWS CloudTrail and MongoDB’s native log features to track usage. Additionally, an audit log for authentication-related activities is maintained using Clerk. All these logs can be aggregated and monitored for any unusual activity or access patterns.
